DISCUSSION EVENING | Public hiding places and shelters: When and where should you hide?

Do you know when to take cover and where to go if the alarm sounds? In an emergency, there is often no other option; knowledge and preparation can save lives. This is why, on April 29, the Crisis Research Centre will host a live discussion focusing on sheltering from an individual perspective.

The Crisis Research Centre invites you to participate in the web discussion “Sheltering as part of civil protection” on April 29th from 18:00-19:00 in the Microsoft Teams environment. Registrants will receive a link to join the day before the event. The discussion will cover when and where to seek refuge in an emergency, the distinction between a public hiding place and a shelter, and how taking informed action can help protect yourself and your loved ones.

Experts will provide practical advice and explanations during the discussion evening, and there will be an opportunity for questions. Mari Tikan, a Ministry of the Interior adviser, and Leho Lemsalu, a Rescue Board sheltering expert, will be present as guests. The discussion will be conducted in Estonian.
