At the same time, a year has gone by since Russia launched a full-scale military campaign on Ukraine, which has impacted global security and serves as a clear reminder of the significance of national defense, strong alliances, and robust civil protection. Estonian society’s security and crisis readiness rely on ongoing investments in national defense and civil protection capabilities to meet any future threats.

In these difficult times, we are reminded that our security and well-being are dependent on collaborative efforts, such as cooperation, clear direction, and mutual support. May this day bring pride, solidarity, and motivation to all Estonians as we defend our country and its principles.
