Happy 106th anniversary of the Republic of Estonia!
On February 24th, we not only celebrate the Independence Day of the Republic of Estonia but also mark two years since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale war of aggression against Ukraine. This day serves as a stark reminder of the importance of national security, civil protection, and crisis preparedness to ensure the safety of both our own people and our allies, as well as to maintain unwavering support for Ukraine in its fight for freedom.
Both Estonia and Ukraine face complex challenges in today’s world, demanding strong defense resolve and strategic preparedness. Ensuring the safety of Estonia’s people requires more than just temporary solutions—continuous and targeted investments in crisis readiness and civil protection capabilities are essential. Only through such efforts can we not only respond swiftly and effectively to unexpected crises but also prevent them and mitigate their impact.
